Jump! Mag has teamed up with Continental Tyres ahead of the UEFA European Women’s U17 Championship Finals to find a ‘Conti Reporter’ to cover what promises to be a brilliant tournament.

While football has traditionally been a game for boys and men, the past few years have seen girls and women getting in on the action.

football for girlsIn America, almost 2 million women players are registered with US Soccer, and TV audiences are huge – 13 million watched USA play Japan on TV in 2011. The current world champions, Germany has around one million registered players.

The English Football Association and Continental Tyres organised Girls’ Football Festivals all over the country this year, with nearly 7,000 girls taking part – that is a whopping 42% more than in the previous year. Women’s football is the largest growth area of the national game, and is now the third biggest team sport in the country.

The UEFA European Women’s U17 Championship Finals are being held in England this year from Tuesday 26th November to Sunday 8th December.

As a main sponsor of the tournament, Continental Tyres is teaming up with Jump magazine to find a ‘Conti Reporter’ among its readers to cover the tournament.

YOU could win a three day trip, with a parent/guardian to report from the U17  Finals in the Midlands.
